Our family understands each resident is an individual with a rich history of accomplishments, family stories and traditions as well as personal preferences and pastimes. We celebrate these unique attributes that make your loved one who they are. Through our Social and Spiritual Engagement Program, we have the privilege of getting to know each person individually and are able to tailor our program around specific preferences and hobbies. Our certified Life Engagement Coordinator understands that incorporating an active and spiritual environment is essential for the well-being of our residents. By involving our residents in a lifestyle that stimulates the mind, body and spirit we are able to lower anxiety, decrease frustration and increase joy and give a sense of purpose. We understand that challenging behaviors are a reflection of underlying uncomfortable emotions such as fear, boredom and apprehension. Our staff is trained to anticipate certain behaviors so we can address our resident’s feelings and alter the environment before the behavior occurs.
The heart never forgets. A resident may not be able to recall a loved one’s name or relationship, but they always feel an emotional connection. Families fear the day when “mom won’t remember me”- but it is important to remember that the emotional heart connection is strong and unwavering.
