Experience Our Day Stay & Respite Programs

Caregiving for a loved one can be challenging, and despite all of the self-care we do, sometimes a break from caregiving responsibilities is needed. Whether your loved one is with us for a few hours once a week or a few weeks at a time, our Day Stay and Respite programs offer your family a taste of the Grand Brook care experience and assess how your loved one will adapt to a memory care environment.

Day Stay Program

Our Day Stay program is a great opportunity for your loved one to have new experiences and socialize with others in a safe and structured environment. Day Stay residents typically join us in the morning and stay through the afternoon. While your loved one is enjoying our Grand Brook hospitality for the day, you can run errands, attend to appointments, or just take a break in your caregiving routine.

extend your experience

Respite Program

Many families choose to extend their experience beyond an occasional afternoon.  Respite care is a short term option (up to 30 days) and can be a great way to really experience life as a resident. This is also a great option for a caregiver that needs to travel, recover from an illness, or handle other responsibilities. Your loved one will receive around-the-clock support and care and access to all of our amenities. Our team can provide families with feedback and help plan for a future transition into a memory care environment.

Many of our residents got their first taste of Grand Brook with a respite stay!

Melinda M. – Grand Brook family member
“The staff is great. Every time I enter the door, they greet me and relate a small story or just tell me how he’s doing that day. All staff members give me and my dad a big hello and many give hugs. He feels so loved. Many times he tells me they treat him so ‘special’ and they watch out for him.”
